They were one of the biggest pop groups of the nineties and noughties, selling millions of albums.

And Rachel Stevens has teased that an S Club 7 reunion may be on the cards during an interview on This Morning on Monday.

The singer, 41, hinted that ‘you never know’  if she and her former band mates would reunite to take to the stage once again.

Rachel appeared on Monday’s edition of This Morning to chat about her role in the cast of Rip It Up’s upcoming 70’s-inspired tour.

Speaking about managing fame and motherhood, Rachel reminisced on her time in iconic pop band S Club 7 and pondered the idea of a reunion.

She said: ‘You never know. There’s seven of us all in different stages of our lives but it does bubble up every now and then.

‘I can’t believe it’s been 20 years, it’s crazy. We were all over the place. TV shows, albums, touring.’

Along with Rachel, S Club 7 consisted of Jo O’Meara, Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh and Hannah Spearritt.

The group dominated the charts with several big hits including Reach, Don’t Stop Movin’, Have You Ever and Two In A Million.

20 years since finding fame with S Club 7, Rachel revealed she is putting her platforms on and training hard in rehearsals for the hit jukebox theatre show.

Rip It Up The 70’s will tour the UK with an exciting new cast and promises a retro extravaganza night. 

Rachel will star alongside fellow Strictly Come Dancing champion Louis Smith MBE, Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton and Lee Ryan from Blue.

She told Eamonn and Ruth: ‘It’s a huge celebration of the 70’s. Dancing, music, it’s an amazing show. It’s all dancing and music and then on screen you have storytelling of the decade.’

The mother-of-two also explained how she juggles being a parent with her hectic schedule. 

‘It’s hard, isn’t it? It’s hard juggling any work with children and they’re always your top priority. They know exactly where I’m going to be and we make it work.’

Rachel confessed that her daughters, eight-year-old Amelie and five-year-old Minnie, know that their mum was a pop star. 

She joked: ‘S Club is high up on our playlist. When we did our S Club reunion four years ago, Amelie was there and got to experience the whole thing. They love it.’

The singer then revealed that a solo album could be something she does in the future. 

‘I do think about it every now and then but it’s juggling that with the kids. Every time I do get out performing again, it does give me that bug again – there’s nothing like that audience interaction.’

The pop sensation commanded attention on This Morning, wearing a floral shirt dress with pretty asymmetric hem detailing. 

She completed the girly number with a pair of black open-toed sandals and accessorised with an assortment of gold bangles. 

She looked as glamorous as always, styling her golden locks in beachy waves while accentuating her features with a natural makeup palette and peach-toned lipstick.  

In recent interviews about her new stage show, Mum-of-two Rachel told Lorraine: ‘It’s super high energy. It’s a celebration for the 70’s, which in my opinion is the best decade for music and fashion.’

The star also shared that she’s taken up Pilates to get fit for the show, while she’s reluctantly taken up running at the request of her husband.

Rachel married actor Alex Bourne in August 2009, and the couple share two daughters, five-year-old Minnie, and eight-year-old Amelie.
