Princess Kate is just days away from taking part in a fun tradition she once revealed she “loves”. The Princess of Wales, 43, will be celebrating her oldest son Prince George’s birthday on Tuesday, with the young royal turning 12.
While it is not known how the family will celebrate George’s special day, which will be spent privately, fans will be able to guess what Kate will be doing the evening before. This is because the future Queen once revealed that there is a special tradition she enjoys each year before her three children’s birthdays.
Appearing in Mary Berry’s ‘A Berry Royal Christmas’ in 2019, Prince William’s wife said that she makes birthday cakes for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis every year.
It is believed the princess enjoys baking and often stays up late making the cake for her children, with this becoming a tradition.
She told Mary Berry: “I love making the cake.
“It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up ’til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much. But I love it.”
It is not known whether the princess also bakes her husband Prince William, 43, a cake for his big day.
