With Prince George’s birthday just days away, royal fans will no doubt be looking back at the young royal’s childhood so far. From the day he was born in 2013, to the various royal appearances he has made since, many will be reminiscing on fond memories of the prince as he gets ready for his 12th birthday.
Among those set to be looking back to the past is Prince William and Princess Kate, who will be celebrating their oldest son on Tuesday. While it is not known what the family plan to do to mark the occasion, they will no doubt be looking back at each of the future King’s birthdays before.
Although we know a lot about the second-in-line to the throne, William and Kate, both 43, have worked hard to protect their children’s privacy, with William once even refusing to reveal what George got for his third birthday.
The moment happened in 2016, when William and Kate visited Portsmouth for the America’s Cup Series just days after their son’s birthday.
During a chat with a young prize winner called Zak Kay, William was asked what Prince George got for his birthday.
William replied: “What did he get for his birthday? I’m not telling.
“He got too many things. He’s far too spoilt.”
While William and Kate may not reveal what presents George will receive on Tuesday, or how the prince will spend his day, they are likely to share a new photograph of the prince to mark his birthday.
This is something the doting parents do each year for George and his siblings Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.
The family also tend to release new photographs to mark Princess Kate and Prince William’s birthdays.
