FIVE people were killed in a mass shooting at a ranch in Texas yesterday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the rural address is Polk County at around 10:30am local time amid reports of an ongoing assault.
But officers arrived to find a bloodbath – with the victims suffering “apparent gunshot woulds”, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The shooting happened at a secluded home in the community of Blanchard, about 70miles north east of Houston.
Police have not revealed more information about the horrific attack – saying “the scene is extremely fluid.”
It is not clear if any arrests have been made or if any suspects are at large.
The shooting comes less than two weeks after police officers were left fighting for life after being injured in a drugs raid in Houston.
Four cops were gunned down during the raid on a home believed to be a heroin den – with two hit in the neck.
