Older woman seduced me on on my paper round and now says she might be pregnant
DEAR DEIDRE: I GOT it on with an older woman and the sex was great – but I’m scared I might soon be a dad.
I am 16, still at school and want to join the Army when I leave but I may have ruined all that.
Before school I do a paper round. One Saturday morning I left the wrong newspaper for a customer in a block of flats.
A few seconds later, a woman came out of the door and started shouting at me about it. I apologised and said I would get the right newspaper and bring it to her. It didn’t take long and I was back in 15 minutes.
She had calmed down and said sorry for being angry before. I asked her not to complain to the shop manager and she invited me in to talk.
I explained to her that my mum is a single parent and that my dad never comes near, so the money from the paper round is important to me and I couldn’t afford to get the sack.
We got chatting and she was very friendly. When she asked how old I am, I told her the truth and she said she’s 27.
When I got up to leave, she came after me, put her arms round me and started touching and kissing me.
I have got a girlfriend but this was so exciting. We went into her bedroom and had sex. It was amazing.
Afterwards, we agreed it should just be a one-off and we wouldn’t tell anyone else either.
That was last month. But last Saturday she came out of her flat when I went to put the paper through her door and said she had something to tell me.
She said I should come in and told me she thinks she may be pregnant — and that the baby could only be mine.
I am scared and don’t know what to do. I am way too young to become a father and it would mess up everything.
TWO in five couples have regrets about their wedding – often due to the amount spent or family tensions surfacing.

Popular Dear Deidre problems
DEIDRE SAYS: A woman who would lure a 16-year-old boy to have sex with her doesn’t sound responsible and stable enough to raise a child, especially as a single parent.
At this stage, you can’t even be sure if she is telling the truth – either about being pregnant or that the baby would be yours if she is.
You can’t handle this on your own. Best tell your mum, so she can talk to this woman with you.
If she is pregnant, it is her choice how to handle it. But your mum can explain to her how tough it is being a single parent and at 16, you are no way ready to help support her.
Whatever she decides, my e-leaflet about Unplanned Pregnancy details sources of support.
