Neighbours spoilers: Toadie Rebecchi BETRAYED as Shane teams up with Andrea Somers
Toadie (played by Ryan Maloney) has been struggling to come to terms with the loss of his wife on Neighbours, but has been slowly putting his life back together with the support of his brother, Shane Rebecchi (Nicholas Coghlan).
What Toadie doesn’t realise is Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey) disclosed some information to Shane before her death earlier this year on the Channel 5 soap with regards to Andrea (Madeleine West) and the ever plot twisting Fake Dee drama.
With Andrea refusing to speak with Shane, their two paths cross again next week when she enlists Toadie’s brother to help her see her young son Hugo.
The drama unfolds when Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) who knows about Sonya’s secret, tells Shane Andrea is no longer at the psychiatric unit in Tasmania and is residing in Geelong.
Beholding his brother making progress, Shane decides to pay Andrea a visit without Toadie’s knowledge to get answers about the possibility Dee Bliss (Madeleine West) could still be alive.
When the pair meet, Andrea tells Shane about the mystery man she met in Salamanca Markets who believed she was a woman called Karen.
Appearing as somewhat of a reformed character after her troublesome escapes over the past few years, Shane believes Andrea but is unable to get more information out of her because of her cloudy memories about the meeting with the mystery man.
Andrea tells Shane she thinks Dee is still alive and is desperate to reunite Toadie with his late wife to make amends for her deception.
However, Andrea tells Shane she will only help him gather more information if he lets her see her son Hugo, who she conceived after tricking Toadie.
Knowing it’s his only way to get to the truth, Shane takes Andrea back to Ramsay Street, much to the dismay of his brother.
Hoping to speak to Toadie before he sees Andrea, Shane’s plans are thrown into disarray as his brother clasps eyes on the troublemaker.
When Toadie sees his brother with Andrea, the Neighbours stalwart is furious with Shane and reprimands him for bringing the trickster back to Ramsay Street.
Will Shane have a chance to explain himself and will he finally reveal what Sonya told him all those months ago?
Elsewhere in Erinsborough, Mark Brennan star Scott McGregor, 38, has spoken out about his character’s future with wife Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) after explosive scenes set to air this week.
After speaking through her situation with Finn Kelly (Rob Mills), Elly will tell Mark he isn’t the father of her child.
It’s fair to say, Mark’s heart will be left broken as he reels from the bombshell which leads the police officer to throw his wife out the house.
As it seems the pair are over for good, Scott has teased a reunion for the husband and wife although he discovers Elly slept with Finn’s brother Shaun Watkins (Brad Moller), which lead to the pregnancy.
Scott told Inside Soap: “For him, [the ultrasound] is a complete betrayal – probably even more so than the fact that Shaun is the biological father.
“Caitlin was the baby he so desperately wanted, and Elly using her as part of her cover-up is a lot to absorb.”
Scott added of the couple’s future: “He definitely has the capacity to forgive, in time, because Mark is not a malicious person. But he has values, and these have been broken by Elly. It’s just going to take a while.”
Also coming up this week, Chole Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) will be rocked by the return of her ex-boyfriend, Pierce Greyson (Tim Robards) but what does he want?
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
