If you thought Black Friday was still just a one day annual shopping event, think again. The discounts have already begun, and just like last year, we expect big savings on popular tech to continue through the whole month of November. It makes it a little tricky to know if the electronics you’re after will get cheaper as the days go by, but it also means you don’t necessarily have to wait if there are good prices on the tech you need.
One such outstanding deal is currently running over on Amazon on the Nothing Ear A, a pair of wireless earbuds that I already consider some of the best value on the market, even at their full RRP of £89. In a “limited time deal”, the buds are currently just £59, and you don’t need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber to get this great price.
Nothing is a London-based tech firm that makes Android smartphones and audio products such as earbuds and over-ear headphones. It has a somewhat confusing range of buds, with several versions released over the last few years – the newest pair are the £179 Nothing Ear 3.
I’ve tested all of Nothing’s earbuds over the past few years, and I’m here to tell you the Nothing Ear A, a cheaper version, is great. They are technically a rung below the company’s best, but I’ve found they have great, punchy audio for a much more palatable price.
Available for £59 in black, white or yellow, the earbuds have solid active noise cancellation (ANC) and transparency modes to block out sound or let it in, with enough oomph in the tiny drivers to keep your tunes coming no matter the genre.
Sure, they lack the depth of soundstage and nuance of premium earbuds from Apple or Bose, but they also currently cost just £59! For anyone on a budget – and whether you have an iPhone or an Android phone – the Nothing Ear A are excellent value, and earbuds I would happily use myself, and recommend to anyone.

They’re even certified to deliver Hi-Res wireless audio, as long as your phone and streaming service are also compatible. Pinch controls on the stems mimic the way you’d use AirPods, but the Nothing buds’ transparent look will help you stand out from the Apple crowd.
The case is small and pleasingly pocketable, though it lacks wireless charging. But you can recharge quickly using USB-C. With ANC turned on, Nothing says the buds will last up to 5.5 hours, with the fully charged case recharging them to give 24.5 hours overall before you need a mains plug. With ANC off, the buds can keep going with the case for more than 40 hours.
The buds are even IP54 water and dust resistant, making them suitable for exercise (read: sweating) and light rain.
As Amazon has listed this deal as “limited time”, I don’t know how long it will last. But I do know that for £59, the Nothing Ear A are one of the best audio deals you’ll see this Black Friday.
