What is the plot of Moominvalley 2019?

Moominvalley is a new adaptation based on Tove Jansson’s classic body of work.

The series is directed by Steve Box who is best known for his work with Wallace & Gromit.

According to Gutsy: “The protagonist of the series is Moomintroll, who is curious, kind, sensitive and idealistic.

“He is a typical hero in a coming-of-age story: he tries to tackle the puzzle of growing up to his true, individualistic self while remaining a beloved part of the family.

“The characters of the valley are thoroughly analysed, which provides the writers with an understanding of their motivations, fears, desires and flaws.

“For the first time, the multilayered personalities Moomins will be presented onscreen the way Jansson created them.

“Moominvalley is a show full of life, laughter, adventure, fantasy, visual humour, whimsical and witty dialogue, elegiac interludes, energy and drama.”

Moonminvalley was made using a cutting-edge 2D/3D hybrid technique, where characters are rendered in 3D in an environment with some 2D illustrative elements.
