Meghan Markle swears by £8 Biore face wipes admitting she has ‘horribly lazy nights’ where she ‘can’t bear’ to actually wash her face
SHE might live in the lap of luxury, but Meghan Markle’s beauty regime is surprisingly inexpensive.
The secret to her signature glow lies in a simple £8 product the royal used to buy in bulk, revealing in a recently unearthed interview how she was “obsessed” with the cheap trick.
She confessed in the interview with Beauty Banter that she was totally in love with Bioré Cleansing Cloths, a hypoallergenic wipe that cleans the pores of dirt.
She said: “They’re great to keep in the car and on your nightstand when you have those horribly lazy nights that the thought of getting up to wash your face seems unbearable.”
Meghan revealed that she would always keep a stock of the dermatologically and anthropologically tested wipes, ideal for sensitive skin, which are also made of 100 per cent renewable materials.
And other items on the duchess’ list of beauty favourites were similarly affordable, as she named Nivea’s Skin Firming Hydration Lotion as her favourite body product, costing just £8.30.
She said: “I use this religiously. It’s honestly my favourite lotion on the market, it’s so affordable, and makes my skin look and feel amazing.”
A Dr Bronner Body Wash in lavender, which retails at £19.49 for a large 1L bottle, and a Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, at just £10.85, featured too.
The Duchess’ all-time-favourite product, however, was the Yves Saint Laurant Touche Eclat Concealer, priced at £22.10 from Boots.
“It blends, it’s compact and if you’ve worked a 17-hour day and have nothing else on, you will still look relatively alive,” she joked.
As for keeping her hair perfect even in the British winds, Meghan favoured brands Kerastase and Wella – which sells hair oil she claims to “love”.
Meghan added: “It smells like a vacation and makes your hair slippery and touchable. And it doubles as a pretty amazing body oil post bath.”
And as for a top secret tip she’d picked up along the way? Adding the small touch of shimmer to her eyes to make her look bright, even without any slap.
Meghan said: “A touch of shimmer powder in the corner of the eye adds a brightness and sparkle. Even if I have no make-up on, I am likely to apply a bit of shimmer in the corners of my eyes.”
