A royal commentator believes Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Christmas plans will “delight” Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
As Harry and Meghan gear up to spend the festive period with their children in California, one royal expert gives fans an insight into how she believes the family are likely to spend Christmas Day.
Speaking to OK!, royal expert Jennie Bond said: “Meghan strikes me as a real home-maker and I’m sure everything in Montecito will be exquisitely tasteful, but also child friendly, because Meghan and Harry focus so much on their children and family life.”
Discussing five-year-old Archie and three-year-old Lilibet, she added: “Their kids are at one of the most magical stages of childhood when everything is spine-tinglingly new and exciting, and Santa is indisputably real.
“I think there is still a lot of the child in Harry as he was always the playful, mischievous one – and I’m sure he throws himself into Christmas fun with Archie and Lilibet.”
Due to Harry and Meghan both being estranged from many members of their families, Jennie claims that the day is more likely about friends than family for the couple.
She told the publication: “Estranged as Harry and Meghan are from so many members of their respective families, Christmas must be more about friends than family.”
Despite this, Meghan is known to share a close bond with her mum, Doria Ragland. With the expert adding, “But Doria is a constant in their lives, and Meghan spoke recently about how she loved having her mum nearby.”
Although Meghan and Harry will be thousands of miles away in the US, the Royal Family will spend another Christmas at the Sandringham estate.
The King and Queen are set to welcome many members of their family – including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children – to the Norfolk estate later this month.
Queen Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles is also set to joining the royals at Sandringham in a major first for the 49-year-old.
Although she has been invited to Sandringham, Princess Eugenie is reportedly in a difficult position after also being invited to spend Christmas in the US with Meghan and Harry.
The US-based couple, who are known to be close to Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have reportedly extended a Christmas invite to Eugenie and her family. It remains unknown whether Eugenie has accepted or declined the invitation.
