Huawei Mate 20 Pro debuted back in October and took the smartphone world by storm with its diverse camera system and innovative features such as reverse wireless charging.

The former in particular remains one of the best on a smartphone and is capable of taking incredible snaps.

Mate 20 Pro’s camera system is comprised of a 40-megapixel main sensor, a 20-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto system.

The trio are not only capable of taking masterfully unique shots in their own right, but they combine to actively incentive the user to experiment with their photos.

While the Mate 20 Pro’s camera system remains sublime, its valiant battery life is another compelling feature.

The Chinese device comes with a 4,200mAh pack that breezes through a day of intense usage and can even last two days if owners are only harnessing their device lightly.

While the Mate 20 Pro remains one of the best Android smartphones around, Huawei recently released its newest flagship, the P30 Pro, that improves upon the hardware in a number of ways.

Chief of these is the P30 Pro’s new camera system that builds upon the solid photography foundation laid by the Mate 20 Pro.

In addition to coming with a new main sensor that can let in more light and an ultra wide-angle system, the P30 Pro also touts a new zooming lens and a time-of-flight (TOF) sensor.

The telephoto camera offered by the P30 Pro is one of its biggest improvements; the system delivers a five-times optical zoom and combines with the phone’s other lenses to achieve a 10-times hybrid zoom and a whopping 50-times digital zoom.

Huawei P30 Pro launched running a new version of the firm’s EMUI software, 9.1.

This differed from the standard EMUI 9.0 software present on the Mate 20 Pro.

EMUI 9.1 is immediately distinguishable for the fresh aesthetic it delivers out the box.

One of the biggest differentiations in style is the fact EMUI 9.1 has square icons with rounded corners as opposed to the circular ones present on the Mate 20 Pro.

It is worth noting the themes on either device can be customised by the user.

EMUI 9.1 also has increased read speeds that should deliver smoother performance for users overall.

Moreover, the updated software also supports a new feature dubbed GPU Turbo 3.0 that aims to increase the frame rate during gaming sessions while also draining less battery.

Huawei recently started beta testing EMUI 9.1 on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20, Mate 20 X and Mate 20 RS, ahead of what is presumed to be a full roll out of the final software for all owners.

If and when the new software does arrive for Mate 20 Pro users, it will bring the device up to speed with the P30 Pro, at least in terms of software.

Although the firm has started beta testing EMUI 9.1, it is unknown when it will arrive for all Huawei fans.
