A MAN is fighting for his life after he was brutally attacked outside the youth centre that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left minutes earlier.
Cops scrambled to the scene in Birkenhead, Wirral, at 2.55pm today to reports of a road altercation.
The 49-year-old was in a black Jaguar four-by-four at a junction across the road from the youth hub Harry and Meghan visited earlier today when an object was thrown at his vehicle, police said.
When he got out of his car, he struggled with four people – at least two of whom were teenagers.
He was rushed to hospital with a serious head injury, where he remains in a critical condition.
One of the attackers is described as white, 5ft 6in tall and aged 15 to 17.
He was wearing a black jacket with grey tracksuit trousers and black trainers and may have been wielding a stick.
The Jaguar remains inside the police cordon with forensics still sweeping the scene and officers examining CCTV.
