Love Island new boy Danny is 'faking his interest in Yewande' and 'playing a game'

A phone call between an unknown man and the alleged ex-girlfriend of Love Island’s newest edition Danny Williams has suggested he is only on the show to help his career, rather than looking for love.

The call – which was leaked by The Sun on Wednesday – claims that Danny is also pretending to have an interest in co-star Yewande Biala.

The embittered woman on the phone can be heard ranting about Danny, saying: ‘I’ve known [he was doing the show] for like a month. He said: “I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do. I’m playing a game, I’m doing it for my career.”

‘You’ve got to remember they’re playing a game. Whatever you do on there, it’s a game.’

She then asserts, ‘He doesn’t even like black girls… he doesn’t like really skinny tall girls,’ and when asked if the romance between him and Yewande is real she says, ‘No’.

A rep for Love Island said: ‘Danny has no right to reply and no means of defending himself. Everyone is in the villa because they are single and looking for love.’

Since entering the villa this week, Danny has shown an interest in Yewande, as well as fellow newcomer Molly-Mae Hague.

But on Tuesday night’s show, Molly-Mae finally put an end to the complicated ‘love square’ that saw her juggling the affections of Danny with Tommy Fury and Anton Danyluk.

After spending time debating it, Molly-Mae told Tommy that she didn’t ‘have what we’ve got’ when it came to Anton and Danny.

Earlier in the episode, she encouraged Tommy to discuss more serious topics, after growing tired of just ‘larking around’.

She said in the Beach Hut: ‘I can see the development, it’s completely different. It’s not perfect yet, but he’s a quick learner. I can tell him once and he’s got it. Tommy is ticking more boxes as we go on.’

Molly later decided to pull Tommy aside and discuss her feelings on the terrace.

‘We need to start having actually conversations,’ she said. ‘I think a lot of the time we’re messing around, which is obviously great, but I like it when we have serious time.

‘I just want to make it clear to you, obviously, there is Anton and Danny there but, they don’t have what we’ve got.’

Molly elaborated: ‘I know for a fact the way we get along, I would not have that with Anton or Danny.’

Elated, Tommy replied: ‘That’s absolutely music to my ears, you know. That’s all I wanted to hear.

He said later on in the Beach Hut: ‘I feel like we’re going really well, swimmingly in fact. I’m too blessed to be stressed.’

Earlier on in the show, Danny’s budding romance with scientist Yewande, 23, was rocked by Molly-Mae’s advances, leaving the model, 21, torn.

The hunk, who has made no secret about fancying Yewande, revealed he’d clicked with Yewande the most, before admitting he ‘gets on’ with social media influencer Molly-Mae, 20.

Later sharing his thoughts on fellow model Molly-Mae, a confused Danny told Anton Danyluk, who is also interested in the blonde, in the kitchen: ‘As the night went on I got chance to speak to everybody.

‘Molly is really nice and I think we get on. I think she is a bit confused with how she feels about Tommy [Fury].’

Anton took it upon himself to tell the blonde bombshell what Danny is thinking.

Molly-Mae responded: ‘I don’t know where my head is at all. I’m very confused.

‘It’s lovely, I’m not saying it’s a horrible situation to be in but I need to make sure I’m not upsetting anyone but also making the right decision for me.’

But Molly-Mae decided it was Tommy who she wanted to embark on a romance with after all spending the afternoon mulling over her decision.

Love Island continues at 9pm on Wednesday on ITV2
