She’s currently wowing audiences with her portrayal as DI Kate Fleming in the hit BBC thriller.

And Vicky McClure looked worlds away from her Line Of Duty character as she made a make-up free appearance while grabbing some groceries at her local Tesco Express on Thursday.

The 35-year-old actress’s low-key outing comes as fans of the police drama continue to speculate about the identity of elusive super villain ‘H’.

Vicky kept things casual in a black hooded jacket, which she wore over a black roll neck jumper.

She also donned a pair of blue skinny jeans which she teamed with a pair of box fresh white trainers.

The star added a pair of sunglasses to her head, while her brunette tresses were cut in her signature cropped style.

Vicky’s natural beauty shone through as she opted to forgo cosmetics for the day.

The This Is England actress looked relaxed and happy as she went about her day and withdrew some cash before making her way to her car with a bag full of groceries.

However, the same couldn’t be said for her alter-ego DI Fleming and colleague DS Steve Arnott, who are desperately trying the catch the mysterious character ‘H’.

Sunday’s explosive fourth episode saw a series of incidents that steered the finger of suspicion at Adrian Dunbar’s character Superintendent Ted Hastings, while others have theorised that he could actually be the good guy.

And as speculation continues to mount, the show’s creator Jed Mercurio has revealed that ‘less than a dozen’ people know the true identity of ‘H’.

He told The Mirror: ‘You will be reassured to know that I do actually know who H is and very few of us do.

‘The number of people who genuinely know right now is probably less than a dozen and I’m looking forward to the day when it can be measured in millions.’

Jed has littered several red herrings throughout all five series, with several characters having names that could be linked to ‘H’.

However, fans are divided as to whether Hastings is the real culprit or is secretly working to bring down ‘H’.

Jed then hinted that viewers should keep believing in the character as he ‘believes in doing the right thing’.

He continued: ‘I think I do write characters that have certain characteristics and one of them is the characters that we are meant to get behind, Ted and all the AC-12 characters who aren’t baddies.’

The writer’s admission comes as last week viewers watched the mysterious boss of the organised crime gang misspell ‘definitely’ while talking via an online chat to John Corbett.

And while many thought it was simply a spelling blunder, when Ted typed ‘definitely’ with an A during a police hack in Line of Duty on Sunday, fans were left convinced the AC-12 Superintendent was in fact villain H.

However others theorised Hastings had placed Lisa McQueen as an undercover officer and was using the misspelling as a code word.

Stern-faced Lisa showed a crack in emotion after her gang leader John Corbett was mercilessly slain for being a ‘rat’ in the last episode.

But actress Rochenda Sandall, who plays Lisa, stayed tight-lipped as to whether her character was working with cahoots with Ted during an appearance on BBC Breakfast on Tuesday.

She teased to hosts Dan Walker and Louise Minchin: ‘I will never tell, you’ll have to watch it.’
