LESS than a third of youngsters plan to go to higher education after school in a record low, a shock poll shows today.
Only 32 per cent of school leavers polled by the Sutton Trust said they were “very likely” to go on to university or college – down from a high of 41 per cent in 2009.

The educational charity said it was the lowest response since they began polling in 2003.
Officials said the figures had been steadily declining since 2009.
Disadvantaged pupils were also less likely to think they will go on to higher education.
