And Kimberley Walsh was positively beaming as she made her way to BBC Breakfast at Media City in Manchester on Friday morning to promote her West End show Big:  The Musical.

The former Girls Aloud singer, 37,  cut a stylish appearance in a white T-shirt tucked into a pair of blue jeans as she made her way through the city with a cup of coffee in hand.

The singer teamed her ensemble with a checked blazer and a pair of white sneakers.

With her sleek platinum bob styled straight, Kimberley accessorised her look with a pair of aviator-style shades, a swanky black handbag and a brown belt around her svelte waist.

She completed her look with a touch of pink lipstick to her pout and impeccably-applied make-up to accentuate her glowing features.

The star later took to Instagram to share a picture of herself and Big co-star Wendi Peters with the caption: ‘Lovely morning at @bbcbreakfast with the lovely @wendi.peters chatting about @bigthemusicaluk now back on the train to London and straight to rehearsals… let’s do this.’

The star’s appearance comes as she gears up to take to the stage at London’s Dominion Theatre next month for the musical adaptation of the 80s film starring Tom Hanks.

Speaking to This Morning hosts Davina McCall and Rochelle Humes last week Kimberley admitted that she felt ‘at home’ getting back into musical theatre.

She said: ‘I grew up doing musical theatre. I felt like I got into Girls Aloud by default and it was like I went back… I feel so at home on the stage.’

Earlier this year, the star also admitted that her former band were unlikely to follow in the footsteps of the Spice Girls and form a reunion tour.

She revealed: ‘There is no Girls Aloud reunion on the cards right now. The Spice Girls had a phenomenal career but it was very short, over four or five years.

‘We literally lived and breathed each other so I think more time needs to have passed for anybody to get those feelings of getting us back together.’

The pop group, which comprised of Kimberley Walsh, Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts, were formed in 2002 on the ITV show Popstars: The Rivals.

The band went on to earn 21 top 10 singles and four UK number one’s before deciding to part ways in 2013.
