Julianne Moore has been having quite the busy summer, with the release of her new film.

The Oscar-winning actress, 58, is starring in After The Wedding opposite Michelle Williams and directed by her husband Bart Freundlich.

The Big Lebowski star was seen leaving a screening of the film on Saturday, where she was dressed in a flowy purple and white dress, wearing black Birkenstock sandals as she left with her husband.

The actress beamed as she left the theater wearing a purse cross-body style.

Her calf-length dress featured a high collar and poofy sleeves, in a slightly retro-feeling purple and white pattern.

Her trademark red locks were in a messy ponytail.

Freundlich, 49, was dressed more casually in a t-shirt and jeans.

The director has included his wife in several of his features over the years, including the 1997 drama The Myth Of Fingerprints and the 2005 comedy Trust The Man.

Their newest venture After The Wedding follows a woman (played by Michelle Williams) who has devoted her life to running an orphanage in India, who is called to New York to meet the millionaire benefactor (Moore) who wants to donate a fortune to her cause.

Unexpected connections are made, secrets are unearthed, and the reasoning behind the donation is not as simple as it seems.

The film fits nicely into both actresses’ respective bodies of work, as each of them has been recognized for acting in similar dramatic fare in the past.

Julianne, who has been a Hollywood fixture since she first turned heads in 1992’s The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, won an Oscar in 2014 for her lead role in Still Alice, about a woman battling early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.

It was her fourth time being nominated.

Julianne has two other upcoming films, a thriller called The Woman In The Window opposite Amy Adams, and The Glorias, in which she will portray the feminist Gloria Steinem.

Moore and Freundlich married in 2003, and have two children: Caleb, 21, and Liv, 17.
