ISLE OF MAN TT rider Dan Kneen has been killed after a collision with a course car.
The resulting blaze led to practice sessions being red flagged as a fire engine attended the incident, with the biker airlifted to a nearby hospital.

Manx speedster Kneen was racing for the BMW Motorrad UK team, who relweased a brief statement.
It read: “BMW Motorrad UK would like to pass along our deepest condolences and sympathy to Dan Kneen’s family, friends, team and fans following this evening’s news.
A statement issued on behalf of ACU Events Ltd read: “TT Race organisers ACU Events Ltd can confirm that a rider was involved in a collision with a course car at Ballacrye during this evening’s qualifying session at the Isle of Man TT Races.
“The rider has been taken by airmed to Nobles Hospital.
“This followed an earlier incident during the Superbike session at Churchtown, which the course car was attending.”
