A model from California had a whirlwind romance with her future husband, Bill Nelson, and tied the knot just three days after meeting.
However, Omaiama Nelson, who moved to America from Egypt to work as both a model and a nanny, soon found their union was far from joyous.
She alleged that Bill revealed a violent temperament immediately after they wed, subjecting her to regular physical and sexual maltreatment.
In a chilling turn of events, Omaiama Nelson, driven to extreme psychological distress by her husband’s conduct, committed an unspeakably barbaric act. She castrated and beat Bill to death with a clothes iron, proceeded to cook his hands, and consumed one of his fried fingers, declaring “I’m glad I lived”.
The path to this gruesome incident began five years prior, when Omaiama travelled from Egypt to California to pursue dreams of modelling and childcare. It was in 1991 at a bar during a game of pool that she encountered 56 year old pilot Bill Nelson, a man 33 years her senior, reports the Mirror US.

The couple’s nuptial bliss was short-lived, according to Omaiama, with abuse starting shortly after they said their vows—a claim supported by a psychological report later revealing she was battling post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). On Thanksgiving Day in 1991, following another reported sexual attack by Bill, Omaiama determined she would retaliate.
Omaiama Nelson, a former Egyptian model, made the shocking claim that her husband had sexually assaulted her during a bondage session. She told authorities she managed to break free from her restraints and attacked him with a lamp, stabbed him with scissors, and bludgeoned him to death with a clothes iron.
He succumbed to his stab wounds.
During the horrifying attack, Nelson was clad in a red dress, red hat, and red boots, according to investigators. However, this was merely the start of the gruesome end for Bill.
After her husband’s death, Omaiama Nelson embarked on the horrific task of dismembering him. It has been suggested that she castrated him as an act of revenge for the alleged sexual assault.
In a desperate bid to remove his fingerprints, the murderer boiled her husband’s hands and cooked his head. She then mixed his body parts with leftover turkey from their Thanksgiving dinner and disposed of this mixture via the garbage disposal.
The entire gruesome act took 12 hours, with Omaiama Nelson claiming she was in a ‘trance-like state’.
Just days prior, a home video showed the couple enjoying family time in the southern US with relatives. This footage was presented to the jury before Omaima’s parole was denied by Orange County prosecutors in 2011.
After the horrific murder, Omaima Nelson was spotted behind the wheel of her husband’s red Corvette, which horrifyingly contained black bin liners in the front seat with human body parts, CBS2 reported. Shocking footage captured just after the police arrived revealed one detective’s astonishment at discovering internal organs within the bags.
A macabre scene awaited investigators at the home shared by the couple, where it was established that Omaima Nelson had restrained her spouse to their bed and gruesomely severed him.
Central pieces of proof presented during the investigation were a wooden knife and a meat cleaver. Residents in proximity to the Nelsons informed officers they had noticed the incessant noise of the waste disposal unit operating for an entire 48 hours.
Additional remains were located both inside a chestnut-hued suitcase and the freezer.
In her hearing, charged with the slaying of her partner, Omaiama Nelson declared to the courtroom: “If I didn’t defend my life, I would have been dead. I’m sorry it happened, but I’m glad I lived… I’m sorry I dismembered him.”
Astonishingly, Omaima admitted to a psychiatrist she had seasoned his ribs with barbecue sauce and taken a taste, although she has retracted these statements.
Her attempt to convince those presiding over the jury of her husband’s abusive behaviour fell short, in spite of earlier psychiatric evaluations, including a note penned by herself within the confines of Orange County Jail, expressing: “I am ready to lose it and go off on someone. Anyone. I can’t sleep at night. I am extremely depressed.”
