A GRAN splashed £16,000 on a lavish party for her grandson’s first birthday – including a golden highchair and a TOWIE star visit.
Sharon Moseley, 53, treated more than 170 guests to a slap up seafood buffet washed down with an open bar for little Danny Smith’s party.

The no-expense-spared soldier-themed bash at That Amazing Place in Harlow, Essex, also included a four-tiered cake and a visit from TOWIE’s Cara Kilbey.
Youngsters tucked into chicken nuggets, cheeseburgers and chips served on a silver platter while adults dined on salmon bagels, hot pork buns and jellied eels costing £2,500.
Birthday boy Danny watched the proceedings from his £650 golden high chair from John Lewis and had his outfit changed three times – at a cost of £500.
But despite the outrageous cost of the day, property developer Sharon said she has no regrets.

She said: “People who know me know that I would do it best. If you are going to do it, you have to do it properly. You only live once so why don’t you enjoy it!
“Why shouldn’t I celebrate the birthday of my grandson, what an amazing thing that has happened.”
The party was decked out with gold balloons reading “Dannyboy”, while two 12ft balloon models of Queen’s Guard soldiers and a 14ft red and golden balloon wreath also adorned the venue.
A dessert table groaned under cupcakes, cake lollypops and a giant cake decorated with Royal Guard soldiers.

Children enjoyed a Punch and Judy show, face painting, and a magician, with party bags including a water bottle emblazoned with Danny’s name.
Danny’s mum Georgia Moseley, 26, said: “My birthday parties were never this big!
“I don’t even think my wedding would be this much.
“But I didn’t have a baby shower or anything so this is the first time that we’re celebrating.
“And we’re making lots of memories for the future.”

The family wanted to celebrate Danny’s birthday after medics warned Georgia she may never have children.
She was left fighting for her life and her pelvis was smashed in eight places when she was a passenger in a car crash in October 2008.
Georgia developed pneumonia in hospital and had to undergo a eight hour operation to repair her pelvis, and a five hour operation to save her arm.
She was warned she may never have children and Sharon resigned herself to not having a grandchild.
But Georgia pulled through and discovered in 2016 she was pregnant with Danny.
