George Michael’s ex-lover Fadi Fawaz says he’ll only leave singer’s home ‘in a box’

GEORGE Michael’s ex Fadi Fawaz has told pals he will not quit the superstar’s home, saying: “I am only leaving in a box.”

Fadi, who is suspected of smashing windows at tragic George’s London home to us last week, has insisted he deserves “respect” and would not be forced out of the £5million pad.

Fadi has been living at the townhouse overlooking Regent’s Park since George, 53, was found dead in bed on Christmas Day 2016.

Careless Whisper singer George’s family want him to leave – but are said to fear ex-hairdresser Fadi revealing secrets about the star’s life and death.

And a source close to George’s estate said: “Fadi has said words to the effect that the only way he is leaving is in a box – and they will have to take him out in a coffin.

“He clearly has no intention of going and it is upsetting the family.

“Fadi has said to people he is not going anywhere soon, and deserves to be treated well because he was the only one with George when he died.

“He seems to think he has a right to the home, although he was left nothing in the will and is effectively squatting.”

Bare-chested Fadi was spotted smoking on the balcony of the house on Friday evening – and with windows clearly still smashed behind him.

We told last week how at least nine shattered balcony door panes and three damaged fan lights could be seen from the street.

Fadi bizarrely told us they were broken while he was “renovating” and added: “It’s all in hand.”

It was clear yesterday the smashed balcony door had not been fixed.

A labourer told us last week he feared Fadi had broken the windows in a fit of rage, adding: “He started going crazy.”

Fadi, 45, was spotted this week near the home in scruffy clothes and looking like he had piled on weight. He is said to be living a reclusive and nocturnal lifestyle.

Last month, The Sun revealed George had left nothing for on-off lover Fadi – or his long-term love Kenny Goss – in his £96.7 million will.

He left the bulk of his wealth to sisters Yioda and Melanie.

Fadi could not be reached for comment yesterday and a buzzer at the home appeared to have been disconnected.
