GB News interrupted as Keir Starmer dealt humiliating blow in win for Farage | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

GB News was interrupted over findings from a new poll, which has come as a major blow for Sir Keir Starmer. The news channel reported on a recent survey revealing that most Brits don’t trust politicians or the police to keep them safe. In the poll, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage is trusted more than Keir Starmer and Kemi Badenoch to “keep Britain safe.” Speaking on GB News, Head of Crime and Justice at Policy Exchange, David Spencer, said: “I don’t think it’s really a huge surprise that this is what the public thinks.” He added: “We’ve seen in the last 10 years that knife crime has gone up about 90%. In the last three years, we’ve seen robberies up by a third. Shoplifting is now at the highest levels ever recorded.”

David continued: “Earlier this year, people told Policy Exchange that they want a far tougher approach to crime. That was the answer across every single demographic group. Even supporters of every single political party want a tougher approach to crime.”

Voters think immigration and the failure to integrate those coming to the UK are fuelling the crime wave. Britain has recently been plagued by criminals on bikes snatching phones and high cases of shoplifting.

The Survation poll, for Friderichs Advisory Partners, revealed findings that said 49% of individuals thought Britain was “becoming a lawless country”.

One person replied on X to the news: “It’s true. I certainly don’t trust labour and Starmer, and the police are arresting the wrong people.” [sic]

A second also said: “The public understand too well that politicians are out for themselves and if ever the country needed proof that the police weren’t on our side we only need look at their behaviour at Epping. Unfortunately we’re on our own !”

A third also commented: “I don’t think anyone anywhere trusts their politicians, it’s the only job you can lie to get and never suffer consequences.”

56% in the poll said they believed that crime had risen over the last five years. 74% said knife crime was “out of control” and 60% said the same regarding violent crime. 70% said theft and 69% said drug-related crimes.
