GAME Of Thrones is BACK for its eighth and final series.
Here is everything you need to know about the spoilers and plot rumours about the latest series.
What happened in the first episode of Game of Thrones season 8?
The opening Game of Thrones season 8 episode was jam-packed with emotional reunions; Jon Snow was back in Winterfell with his Stark Siblings, he was also reunited with Sam Tarly, meanwhile, Gendry and Arya came face-to-face for the first time in years, and Bran had an interesting stare out with Jaime Lannister – the man responsible for putting him in a wheelchair.
There was a lot to get through but every single one of those meetings met viewers’ expectations.
In fact, the emotional scenes were so well written and executed that some viewers were left in tears afterwards.
While the episode was of course action-packed, the biggest talking point was the show’s ending; Jaime and Bran’s reunion.
These two characters hadn’t seen each other since Bran caught Jaime canoodling with his sister Cersei (I know) during a visit to Winterfell.
In a desperate bid to prevent their secret getting out, Jaime pushed Bran out of a tower, which left the boy crippled.
Following the fall, Bran couldn’t remember what happened and was convinced he accidentally tripped while climbing.
However, since then, he’s developed abilities as a greenseer, meaning he can now see into the past, present and future, and so it’s almost certain he knows what Jaime did.
Does this mean Bran will now want revenge?
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime, hinted to Digital Spy there’s a big storyline on the horizon between these two: “This is a pay-off to episode one of season one, but there will be more in the show this season. I think that’s really cool because it’s a story; it’s all been one story. It’s just taken a long time to tell it.”
However, while there may be unfinished business between Jaime and Bran, the pair have much bigger problems on their hands right now.
The White Walkers and the Army of the Dead have ploughed through the wall and are making their way south – next stop, Winterfell.
It’s expected many of the show’s iconic characters will be killed off during the Battle of Winterfell.
According to the rumour mill, this will be taking place in episode three – so treasure every moment with your Game of Thrones favourites while you can because it’s going to be brutal.
What will happen in Game of Thrones season 8?
The final season of Game Of Thrones is likely to explore the identity of Jon Snow since it was revealed that he’s a Targaryen and the rightful king of Westeros.
There will also be a showdown between the living and dead and it’s possible that Cersei will recruit the mercenary army The Golden Company.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who plays Jaimie Lannister also suggested that a few more characters will become undead.
He told Esquire: “You know some of the main characters are going to get turned. There are going to be some blue-eyed main characters running around.”
Talking about the final six episodes of the series, Nikolaj also told Huffington Post: “I wrote the writers when I finished reading and just said, ‘I don’t think you could’ve done a better job at finishing this story.’
“To me, it was very satisfying but also very surprising and all the things that I was hoping for. It still made sense.
“It wasn’t like one of those where the killer is suddenly revealed in the last act and you go, ‘Oh! I didn’t see that coming.’ Here, they’ve done a really, really good job.”
Are there any plot leaks for Game Of Thrones season 8?
The producers have filmed multiple endings to prevent plot details leaking online.
They also have taken extreme measures to stop leaks.
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, spoke all about the measure during an interview with Vulture.
After sharing that they were doing the typical things like changing actors’ names on the scripts, she revealed that there are drone killers involved as well.
She added: “Also, we shoot fake scenes. We got into costume in Croatia because we know the paparazzi lurk around there, so we would spend like half a day doing nothing.”
As for what Sansa will be getting up to this season, she explained: “This season she is very, very self-assured. She knows what she wants. She knows what she stands for.
“She knows who she wants to be around. She faces threats to that this season. But, well, we’ll see how that goes.”
Kit Harington admitted that he cried when he read the final script, and also revealed that there was a secret episode of the show that will never air.
He said: “They say, if I ever p**s them off too much, they’ll release it on YouTube.
“Every now and then, they send me a screengrab, just as a threat.”
Although the show may be coming to an end, the creator George R.R. Martin revealed he would have liked the show to continue for several more years.
“We could’ve gone 11, 12, 13 seasons,” he told Variety. “David and Dan have been saying for like five seasons that seven seasons is all they would go. We got them to go to eight but not any more than that.
“There was a period like five years ago when they were saying seven seasons and I was saying 10 seasons and they won, they’re the ones actually working on it.”
Meanwhile, the show’s producers revealed that the special Spotify playlist they made in honour of the show has the answer to the ending hidden within the songs.
Speaking to For the Record, Benioff and Weiss said: “The answer to the ending is one hundred percent hidden in the playlist choices. No one will believe us, but it’s true.”
What are the Game Of Thrones season 8 fan theories?
There have been a number of fan theories as to what will be revealed in the final series of Game Of Thrones…
Tyrion is actually a Targaryen
Jon Snow was revealed as a secret Targaryen but is Tyrion one too?
One fan theory is that he’s the illegitimate son of “The Mad King.”
This would explain his fascination with dragons and fire.
Jaime will kill Cersei
In the books, Cersei’s murder is foretold by a witch and some believe that she subtly hints her killer will be Jaime Lannister.
In the series, Maggy said: “And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you.”
Since “valonqar” means little brother in High Valyrian language some think this is a pretty clear indicator that Jaime will kill his sister and lover.
The latest fuel to this rumour comes from fans online who noticed a pattern that suggests Cersei may be set for a harrowing end.
Roose Bolton stabs Rob Stark. Ramsey Bolton stabs Roose. Rob gets shot from a crossbow. Tywin Lannister gets shot from a crossbow. Catelyn Stark gets her throat slit. Arya Stark slits Walder Frey’s throat,”
“Could this mean that Cersei will get stabbed in the belly like Talisa Stark? Both are pregnant.”
Arya will kill Cersei using Jamie’s face
This is based on the same “valonqar” fan theory, but with a twist!
Some fans think that it will be Arya who kills Cersei, while her face is masked with Jamie’s.
Arya’s kill list has had Cersei on it since the beginning of the series, so there is no doubt she would love to be the one to end Cersei’s life.
Bran Stark is the Night King
There’s a theory that Bran Stark is actually the Night King.
It’s possible that he went back in time to merge with the first White Walker in order to stop the Children of the Forest’s transformation.
But it’s possible that he got stuck in the Night King’s body and just became a killing machine.
Jon and Daenerys are siblings
So far, we have come to learn that Jon and Daenerys are nephew and aunt – despite their intimate moments.
However, some viewers have noticed Dany talking about growing up around a lemon tree in Braavos.
And with lemon trees only growing in Dorne, fans are suggesting that Daenerys might have actually been Rhaegar’s daughter despite what she was told – which makes him Jon’s sister.
Jon Snow will win the Game of Thrones
It was revealed that Jon Snow was secretly Aegon Targaryen – the son of Prince Rhaegar.
This means that he has a clear claim to the throne.
If his aunt Daenerys dies in upcoming battles he could become ruler of the seven kingdoms.

What is Sophie Turner’s Game Of Thrones season 8 ‘spoiler’ tattoo?
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, caused a stir when she got a tattoo on her arm of a House Stark Direwolf sigil and the writing “The Pack Survives.”
Fans took this to mean that the remaining Starks – Jon, Sansa, Arya and Bran, would survive in the final season.
However, when she appeared on the Late Late Show the actress seemed to dismiss this theory.
She said: “It’s just a quote from last season, everyone figures that the pack really does survive, but it’s just a moral that I like to live by.”
However, Sophie did reveal that Sansa will have a key role to play in Season 8.
She told Digital Spy: “She’s used Littlefinger for all he has. As she said, ‘Thank you for all your lessons’.
“He has nothing left to give her. So she is so empowered. She has a family behind her. She has Littlefinger, Cersei, Margaery, everyone’s wisdom and teachings all behind her.”
