Funniest Game of Thrones season 8 memes – from Bran and Jaime’s showdown to Cersei and those elephants

GAME of Thrones fans were left howling online after witnessing a staring contest between Bran Stark and Jaime Lannister and hearing Cersei Lanister muttering the words: “I want those elephants.”

Viewers were quick to take the season 8 premiere’s key moments and throw a meme party on Twitter after it tied up loose ends and teased ahead to bloodshed and battles.

Cersei Lannister was left seething after she ordered a herd of elephants for battle and they failed to arrive

So while Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen marched across the North towards Winterfell, dark gags and rib-tickling jokes were building on Twitter.

Especially after Cersei (Lena Headey) was denied a heard of elephants for her depleting army.

The current Queen on the Iron Throne seethed after she ordered the animals for battle and they failed to arrive.

Meanwhile, the glimpse of Bran’s face when he spots Jaime Lannister from afar had people celebrating online.

The wheelchair-bound teen, who calls himself the Three-Eyed-Raven, looks thirsty for revenge as he sits in Winterfell’s courtyard, after Jaime shoved him out of a window way back in season 1.

As many viewers debated the theory that Bran is, in fact, the Night King, others were concocting imaginative memes.

Elsewhere, Drogon the dragon attracted a flurry of tweets for his reaction to mum Daenerys Targaryen’s passionate snog with Jon Snow – who we find out is her nephew.

Some likened him to a jealous dog, as others saw pure fury flash across his scaly face.

Elsewhere, little Lord Umber was seen surrounded by flaming, severed limbs and screaming at Tormund, which viewers accurately described as looking like a plate of prawns.

And Samwell Tarly being told the news that his dad and brother had been wiped out by the new Queen in the North, Dany, left viewers in stitches.

In the first episode of the final series, which aired on Sunday night, Jon was taught how to fly love interest Daenerys Targaryen’ dragons.

Emotions ran high for the actors who spent months working to make the eighth season the best yet.

Kit Harington admitted he “f***ing broke down” and hyperventilated when he wrapped the last episode.

Speaking to Esquire Magazine, he said: “Then they called ‘Wrap!’ and I just f***ing broke down.

“It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again. It wasn’t so much about Jon.

“It was about not being in this world, not getting to smell those smells, fight those fights, be with these people – the whole package.”
