And following their humbling at home by West Ham last week, discontent among the squad has increased.

Many of the players, headed by seniors, believe that TOO MUCH work is being done on preparation, including sessions that are above their heads.

One source claimed it was similar to problems during the reigns of Roberto Martinez and Ronald Koeman, who overloaded the players with too much information.

The squad have got together and are dropping hints with the management that they should be doing fewer hours and that the tactics should be simpler.

Silva penned a three-year deal with Everton in May after he spent last season with Watford.

But the club have been struggling this season, with just one win from their opening five games.

The Toffees boss eased injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Silva said: “Some good news. Some of the injured players have returned to full training with the squad.

“Same situation still with Jags, I think next week he will start with the team as well.

“Gomes and Coleman still out.

“Mina has a had a full week working with the team now. He is getting better everyday, and getting good fitness as well.

“If you have the whole squad in good condition that is what you want. It looks better now.”
