Emmerdale viewers are going to finally see Maya Stepney (played by Louisa Clein) brought to her knees when the “right outcome” is delivered in court.
But according to the actress who plays the school teacher, the grooming storyline’s end, may not be as straight forward as some were hoping for.
Could this spark the departure of Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant)?
It comes as Louisa discussed the outcome her character would like to have when she faces the jury later this month, saying: “I suppose a wrap on the knuckles and ‘lets start again’.
“Ideally, she would prefer some sort of non-custodial sentence or suspended sentence and then she could move away to a different place a try to build a life on her own somewhere else.”
Has Louisa just suggested Maya wouldn’t give Jacob a second thought should she get the opportunity to evade life behind bars and start again somewhere new?
Should he then be abandoned by the woman he loves, there is a strong possibility Jacob won’t want to stay in Emmerdale, especially with his parents breathing down his neck every five minutes and struggling to understand the relationship he thought he had with Maya.
Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) were blindsided when they found out Maya had manipulated Jacob into a relationship, especially considering they all lived under one roof.
Whilst they have decided to keep Jacob’s adoptive mother Alicia Gallagher (Natalie Anderson) out of the loop regarding the matter, the teenager could make the executive decision to get out of the Dales and seek solace in Portugal where he can clear his head without judgment.
And, with his exams now over, it is the perfect time for Jacob to exit and start afresh.
To add to this, viewers are going to see Jacob struggle with the snide comments and accusations being thrown his way by his peers at school in upcoming scenes.
According to official soap spoilers, the teenager is left angry and determined to tell his side of the story when he is surrounded by girls from school gloating at the video they have confronting Maya.
Unable to cope with the pressure of trying to persuade everyone he wasn’t groomed, there has never been a better time for Jacob to leave. But will his parents let him?
Emmerdale fans have seen David wrestle with his emotions and in recent episodes, he broke down, blaming himself for his son being groomed.
Perhaps it is best for everyone if Jacob went away and in time they can heal and return to being a family.

Elsewhere in the village, there is the possibility Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) could find happiness with an unlikely resident.
After running into Ellis Chapman (Asan N’Jie) in the village several times this week, fans have said he and Belle could have a future romance together.
Both are experiencing great difficulties in their lives at the moment, Belle having lost her mother Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) and Ellis after being stabbed during a night out in Hotton last month.
Armed with a bucket list from her mother to complete, could Ellis and Belle grow close to one another and comfort each other in their times of need?
Emmerdale returns on Monday at 7pm on ITV.
