Billy (played by Jay Kontzle) was seen having a tense conversation with Ellis (Asan N’Jie) at the end of tonight’s Emmerdale, with Billy’s younger brother seeming to have some dirt on the ex-jailbird.
It seemed Billy could be turning over a new leaf from his time in prison, which has been revealed as quite harrowing according to Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
When Aaron clapped eyes on Billy on Christmas Day, he immediately recognised him as his former cellmate who had taunted him over his sexuality.
However, Billy’s past could be even darker as Ellis was seen telling him he was going to tell everyone exactly who he is and what he’s done on the ITV soap.
Billy’s mother Jessie Grant (Sandra Marvin) is desperate to show everyone her son’s kinder side as a recent beating saw her turn on husband Marlon Dingle’s (Mark Charnock) family.
However, it was revealed Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was behind the attack and he faced charges fro trying to get justice for his husband Aaron.
Though in tonight’s episode, Billy dropped the charges, telling his mother he wanted to forget about his life behind bars and he deserved it for what he had done to Aaron.
With Ellis’ threat ringing in his ears towards the end of the episode, could Billy beat his own brother to make sure the young lad stays quiet about his past?
Or will Billy be exposed to the village, forcing him to leave Emmerdale before he’s even had a chance to settle?
At the beginning of tonight’s episode, it seemed Jessie and Marlon could have been over before they’d had a chance at married life.
With all the drama revolving around Billy, Jessie scolded Marlon over his loyalties to his family and for not supporting her.
The headteacher even told Marlon’s young daughter April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) her father was being disloyal to her.
However, she later took back her words and apologised to Marlon for what she told his daughter, shortly before Billy told er he was dropping the charges.
Marlon told his wife how Billy and Aaron’s past could not come between them. However, only time will tell if their marriage will prevail.
Viewers were not too happy with Jessie taking her anger out on Marlon and took to social media to voice their frustration at the mother.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: “Jessie’s being such a hypocrite. She can pick her family over Marlon’s but he can’t! #Emmerdale.”
Another added: “Free Marlon from Jessie but let him keep Ellis #Emmerdale,” referring to the warring families.
“Can jessie just leave with billy and now…. they are doing my head in #emmerdale,” a third declared.
Whilst a fourth stated: “Emmerdale time and someone needs to have a word with Jessie!!!”
A fifth added: “While I’m on the subject of Marlon, I really don’t get how him & Jessie are together, it just doesn’t work. #Emmerdale.”
Emmerdale continues Monday at 7pm on ITV.
