The Scarlet Witch and The Vision are here to stay, coming to a streaming platform near you soon.
Actors Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, who played the above-mentioned superheroes in the Marvel juggernaut Avengers franchise, are bringing their characters to a series as part of Disney’s new streaming service Disney+, and were on hand at the Mouse House’s D23 Expo on Friday in support of the project.
The series, appropriately called WandaVision (the Scarlet Witch’s real name is Wanda Maximoff), is set to premiere in 2021.
A super-powered pair: Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, who played superheroes in the Marvel Avengers franchise, visited the D23 Expo in support of their new Disney+ series
For the appearance at the Anaheim, California event, Elizabeth wore a pale pink blouse featuring a delightful ruffle down the front, a mandarin collar and off-the-shoulder tailoring.
Olsen, 30, paired it with smart black shorts and matching slides.
Bettany, 48, went for the preppy look with a black sweater and fitted khaki pants.
He completed his look with white trainers.

WandaVision: Their new series, not hitting until 2021, is named for their Marvel characters
For Marvel fans paying attention, the characters of Scarlet Witch and Vision came on to the scene in the Marvel Cinematic in a major way beginning with 2015’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron sequel (although both characters were teased in other films before that).
In Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, their budding romance reached full fruition, but came to a brutal end with Vision’s demise at the conclusion of that film.
According to the Marvel fandom, the WandaVision series will most likely be a prequel, although nothing is totally certain when it comes to Marvel’s plans for storylines.
Scarlet power: Olsen’s character the Scarlet Witch is actually considered to be one of the most powerful heroes in the entire MCU
He’s a Vision: Bettany’s Vision started off as Jarvis, the voice of the super-smart computer at Tony Stark’s disposal in the Iron Man movies, who then evolves to become a sentient super-being in Age Of Ultron
Another possibility might be an alternate universe, since Olsen is also attached to the MCU film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with Benedict Cumberbatch, also due in 2021.
The use of the word ‘multiverse’ in the title opens up the possibility that Wanda might become involved in an alternate universe where she could reunite with her beloved Vision.
Aside from his Marvel commitments, Paul recently figured in another major franchise: as villainous Dryden Vos in Solo: A Star Wars Story last year.
