Dancing On Ice 2019: Holly Willoughby hints at WRONG exit after Gemma Collins row

Dancing On Ice’s has been full of drama this series already, and last weekend’s show saw its first elimination, and it was a pretty shocking one,

Richard Blackwood was voted off first despite delivering an excellent performance on the night.

The former EastEnders star had a background in skating which hasn’t always helped contestants in the past.

The show’s host, Holly Willoughby, was on This Morning earlier today and she admitted that she was surprised that Rickard Blackwood was eliminated.

Holly presented the morning programme with John Barrowman after Philip Scofield took the day off, and he agreed with her remarks.

She said: “We’re taking a look behind the scenes at Dancing on Ice.

“Poor Richard Blackwood,” she added with a rather concerned look on her face.

She continued: “I didn’t think he was going to leave. I thought he was really good last night.”

John agreed, saying: “I didn’t either”.

“It’s sad when they start to leave,” she finished.

This comes after Holly made a cheeky swipe at The Only Way Is Essex star’s, Gemma Collins, on Dancing on Ice.

Gemma and the show’s judges engaged in a rather heated debate after her routine with Gemma claiming that head judge Jason Gardiner had sold stories about her.

In all culminated in Gemma yelling, “Boring” over the judges’ feedback.

After Gemma left the stage, hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield jumped in to introduce the next contestant, Melody Thornton.

Holly announced: “Well it is time for the final skating star of the night and it’s our Pussycat Doll.”

But she went on to take a cheeky swipe at Gemma as she continued: “Let’s get the inside story as she skates to a song from West Side Story – nobody sold that story that’s for sure.”

The audience could then be heard audibly gasping at her comment as Phillip laughed alongside her.

Fans of the show were left in hysterics by the swipe, as they began writing on Twitter, with one saying: “Loved Holly’s little dig at Gemma Collins!! #DancingOnIce.”

Another agreed: “HOLLY the shade of it all #DancingOnIce.”

Dancing On Ice 2019 continues Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
