A couple, Adele Tait, 47, and her partner Craig, have tragically been found dead in their tent whilst camping near a picturesque spot in the UK. The pair were believed to be on a camping trip in Scotland when family members, having not heard from them, raised concerns and alerted the police.
It appears that the unfortunate couple lost contact after setting up camp last week on the banks of Loch Awe, near Dalmally, Argyll – a world-renowned fishing destination frequented by anglers in pursuit of the legendary Ferox Brown Trout, as well as pike and sea trout. Nestled in the heart of Argyll and Bute in Scotland, Loch Awe is a majestic freshwater lake known for its rich history, vast size, and significant water catchment area.
At approximately 25 miles long, it holds the title of Scotland’s longest freshwater loch, meandering through the stunning landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. This trip would have offered a delightful change of scenery for the couple, who are believed to have resided together in a cottage in the village of Longridge, West Lothian.
However, their journey ended in tragedy before the afternoon of Saturday, June 7, when Police Scotland officers discovered their bodies. According to The Sun, a spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding their deaths.
A mother has shared a tear-jerking tribute on social media after her daughter Adele and her partner Craig tragically died, with Anne writing: “I am devastated to be writing this – my eldest daughter Adele and her partner Craig have sadly passed away. The family are heartbroken at this time. You are my firstborn, the one who made me a mum. I’m in pieces, another part of my heart is in heaven.”, reports the Mirror.
Anne’s moving homage on Facebook has touched hearts, with friends and locals alike sharing their memories. A friend reminisced with photos of countryside strolls, saying: “Thank you for always being an amazing friend, always honest and caring.”
Their Longridge neighbour commented on the loss, noting: “They were a good couple who liked camping. It’s a tragedy.”
Police Scotland released a sombre statement regarding the couple’s untimely death: “A man and woman were found deceased within a tent on the side of Loch Awe at 4.25pm on Saturday. Their deaths are not being treated as suspicious.”
This sorrowful news follows the grim discovery of a body near Falkirk, believed to be that of Cole Cooper, a 19 year old missing since last month. A male corpse was located close to Kilsyth Road in Banknock around 4.15pm Friday, June 6, in proximity to where Cole had last been seen.
Pending formal identification, Police Scotland has communicated with Cole’s family.
The spot where the body was discovered is worryingly only a 15-minute walk from Cole’s last known location. Police Scotland proceeds with its inquiries, piecing together the circumstances surrounding these events.
