THE cost of a call to directory enquiries service 118 118 is set to fall by 70 per cent in a victory for The Sun.

118 118 Customers currently pay up to £9 to use the 118 118 service
118 118 charges around £11 to make a 90-second call. This will be limited to £3.10 under the proposals.
The cap applies to other providers and will be under consultation until August 22. Currenty callers must also pay an access charge of 10p to 58p a minute to their phone provider.
