Tyrone (played by Alan Halsall) has been getting to know his biological grandmother Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) on Coronation Street after a rocky start to their relationship.
However, it could all be turned on its head next week on the ITV soap as Tyrone learns more about his past.
Events will unfold after he discovers Evelyn has another grandson, James (James Butler) who he meets following suspicions about his grandmother’s behaviour.
Though James has more secrets to spill about Evelyn, one in particular will leave the Weatherfield mechanic rocked to the core.
After Tyrone follows Evelyn to the home of James following the discovery of some plane tickets, Evelyn tells the mechanic she and James go on annual holidays together after she took him in as a child when his parents died.
Evelyn is left feeling agitated by Tyrone’s presence, clearly uncomfortable her two grandsons had come face-to-face.
Following the unexpected meeting, Evelyn is forced to face her demons as she tells Tyrone the tragic truth about being him being abandoned as a baby.
Last year, Tyrone discovered the woman who raised him, Jackie Dobbs (Margi Clarke) wasn’t his birth mother after she passed away.
Searching for his blood family last year, Tyrone tracked down Evelyn, who told him his mother Cassie had left him on the steps of a local police station.
However, the Weatherfield stalwart tells her grandson it was she who left Tyrone at the police station all those years ago, news with doesn’t go down well with the mechanic.
Teasing the upcoming scenes, Coronation Street posted: “After Tyrone bitterly tells Evelyn to enjoy her holiday and not to bother coming back, she begs Roy to speak to him. But will Tyrone turn his back on his grandmother for good?”
Will Evelyn be waving goodbye to the cobbles after dropping the bombshell, or can she repair her relationship with Tyrone before it’s too late?
Elsewhere in Weatherfield, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) discovered their teenage daughter, Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), was pregnant.
Steve was quick to jump to conclusion and believed it was Aadi Alahan (Zennon Ditchett), the teenage son of friend Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), who was responsible for getting his daughter pregnant.
Though, Amy was quick to assure her parents it wasn’t Aadi who had got her pregnant, telling them she didn’t know who the father was.
