He’s made a name for himself playing Thor in the Marvel films and appearing in the likes of Men in Black and Snow White and the Huntsman.
And now Chris Hemsworth has landed a new role, playing an undercover cop in a new comedy film starring alongside American star, Tiffany Haddish.
The 35-year-old will be appearing in Down Under Cover Gulf News reports, with the news being announced in Cannes on Sunday.

The Paramount film reportedly sees Chris and Tiffany’s characters investigating a group of Australian male erotic dancers involved in casino heists.
Production is said to be starting in February, with the film having a budget of $40 million.
The directors of Avengers: Endgame, Anthony and Joe Russo, are producing the upcoming film.

Avengers: Endgame smashed box office records around the world but was knocked off the top spot this week in North America, by Keanu Reeves’ John Wick: Chapter Three.
Studios on Sunday said John Wick: Chapter 3 has grossed an estimated $57 million (US) in its opening weekend.
According to Box Office Mojo meanwhile, Avengers: Endgame has grossed a whopping $2.6 billion worldwide.

Chris stars in the flick as Thor, alongside the likes of Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson.
In April, Chris spoke about possibly playing Thor again, saying he would take on the role if presented the chance in future.
Speaking to This Morning, Chris said: ‘I’d play this character for as long as anyone would let me.’
‘I’ve loved it so much.’
He added: ‘Who knows what the future holds and whether they do prequels and sequels or whatever, I’d be open to anything. But right now, this is where we finish up.’
