Freebies were reportedly handed out outside their Glasgow concert, while others were offered upgrades for nothing.
But seats left unfilled meant large sections of seating in the stadium venues had to be covered.
Tonight, thousands turned out to see the married couple perform on stage.

Fans watched as they kissed, flirted and held hands on stage as the singers were upfront and honest about their once troubled marriage.
Rumours of Jay Z’s infidelity were confronted head on, with performances from Beyonce’s Lemonade album and Jay Z’s 4:4.
Venue screens are used to show a video illustrating how it had rocked their marriage with images of their house on fire, before they were seen reuniting in a church and saying I Do for a second time.
But the tour has failed to gather the momentum they both hoped for.

The couple kicked off their 48-date run at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium a week ago with plenty of empty seats on view.
Hundreds of seats remain available for this evening’s concert at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and for the 66,000-capacity London Stadium on Saturday.
Promoter Live Nation has spent millions on the concerts, but only nine out of the remaining 46 dates in Europe and North America have sold out.
