A MAN has been arrested following a seven-hour stand-off with armed cops in Hove.

Members of the general public had been warned to avoid the road as officers work to manage the scenario after he began chucking objects out the window.

A Sussex Police spokesperson stated earlier that they had been known as to Portland Highway this morning after considerations for a person in a property.

They stated: “The person has thrown objects from the window and a piece of the highway has been closed whereas officers try to converse to him.
