Agapanthus will produce beautiful flowers if gardeners follow 1 rule

The agapanthus loves to sit in a sunny and hot spot in the garden. In early summertime, we should start to see the flower stems growing in readiness for a summer floral display.

The plant is at its happiest when its roots are restricted and pot-bound. The roots want to push up against the edges of pots and rocks, and stones in the ground. This will encourage them to flower, almost pushing more flower stems up.

We should feed them every so often with a plant food throughout the growing season and a sprinkle of water every few days to keep the plant very happy.

They can tolerate drought conditions, which means we can let them grow and thrive without too much work.

They love to be open to the air during the warmer months, but when deep winter comes along, you should cover them with a fleece.

This prevents them from getting frostbitten and damaged. So, let’s enjoy the agapanthus; it’s a mid- to late summer delight.

If you would like to order an agapanthus, please visit www.thompson-morgan.com and use my promo code TWTAWTOM12 to get 12% off your order when you spend £20 or more.
