A woman has died from “severe injuries” in North Wales, as police charged a man with murder.
The 69-year-old woman was discovered in a house in Rhyl, Wales, on Thursday evening.
The woman was taken to hospital, but she sadly died shortly after.
Police are yet to reveal how the woman died; however, the man arrested has been named.
Dean Mark Albert Mears, 33, was arrested by police on suspicion of murder.
Mears has since been charged with the woman’s killing, and he’s set to appear at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
A 25-year-old woman was also detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. However, she was released on bail and has not been named.
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Boycott said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this sad time, who are being supported by specialist police teams.
“His Majesty’s Coroner has also been informed. Our investigation continues, and I would urge anyone with information who has not yet come forward to contact us via our live webchat or on 101.”
