This brand new thriller has been labelled as “phenomenal” by viewers and it has been echoed by Rotten Tomatoes with an impressive 97% rating.

Sinners is an horror that follows twin brothers as they attempt to leave their difficult pasts behind only to discover upon their return to Mississippi that evil is awaiting them.

The film’s synopsis, via Men’s Health, reads: “The whole plot of Sinners hinges around twins Smoke and Stack and their quest to define a creative space for their community.”

Ryan Coogler directs the film as Michael B. Jordan stars as both of the twin brothers.

The stellar cast lineup also includes Hailee Steinfeld, Wunmi Mosaku, Jack O’Connell, Miles Caton, Li Jun Li, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller and Delroy Lindo.

With critics on Rotten Tomatoes awarding the film with a 97% rating, their consensus reads: “A rip-roaring fusion of masterful visual storytelling and toe-tapping music, writer-director Ryan Coogler’s first original blockbuster reveals the full scope of his singular imagination.”

However, with more than 25,000 ratings equating to 96% via the audience reviewers, their consensus states: “Ryan Coogler has not only delivered a deliciously vicious vampire hit, but an unapologetically Black genre knockout ablaze with a killer cast and a cranked-up score.”

One audience reviewer said: “Michael B. Jordan did a great job playing two roles. Lots of twists and turns that kept you on the edge of your seat. The supporting characters were excellent.”

The film has been receiving great reviews and critical acclaim.

A Google reviewer called the film “phenomenal” and said: Sinners has been one of my most anticipated films of the year, and after a long wait and a few frustrating viewing delays, I can happily say it delivered on all fronts.

“As a horror enthusiast and a true cinemaholic, my brain is still buzzing with vampires after experiencing this film. Honestly, I had an incredible time, and this is hands down the best movie I’ve seen this year so far.”
