Prince Edward has got fans talking after his latest joint royal trip with his wife Duchess Sophie. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh recently visited the Inner Hebrides, a cluster of islands located off the west coast of Scotland, to learn more about life in remote island communities.
During their visit, which saw Edward and Sophie visit a number of communities – including the Isle of Jura – the royal couple spent time celebrating the people and culture found across the region. Edward, 61, and Sophie, 60, also spent time talking to a number of locals and joining in with local activities such as learning how to skim stones.
While their royal work has been appreciated by both King Charles, 76, and royal fans, it is Prince Edward’s outfit detail that has really got people talking.
This is because during his visit, Edward did sport a kilt for some of the royal engagements.
Although royals have done this before, with the King often wearing a kilt in Scotland, royal fans have been quick to praise Edward’s kilt look.
One fan wrote on X: “Edward really suits his kilt.”
Another said: “Love the kilt!!! Great couple and what an asset.”
Someone else commented: “I love that he wears the kilt when in Scotland.”
As well as praising Edward for wearing a kilt, royal fans have also praised the couple for the work they do on behalf of the monarchy.
One fan wrote on X: “Amazing work.”
Another said: “They are amazing in the work they do.”
