A Benidorm hotel has been named as the “Best of the Best” by users on the TripAdvisor portal. The famous Spanish party resort is one of the most popular with holidaying Brits looking for sun and fun.
More than 600,000 holidaymakers from the UK hit the resort last year, as its appeal continues to grow. The resort’s mayor Toni Pérez said the city is enjoying an “exponential increase” of visitors from Britain. The city is estimated to have some 138 hotels, the vast majority of which are three or four stars. One of those is the Hotel Voramar, which was voted the “Best Hotel in Spain in 2024” by Tripadvisor users.
The four star establishment is celebrating 60 years of business after opening its doors on April 9, 1965.
The hotel’s central location is one of its biggest draws, and is within a short walk of the beach, old town, restaurants and bars – with the marina also close by.
Additionally, it offers a vibrant atmosphere, with live music every night and DJs performing their sets to help people to get into the party groove.
On receiving its award, the hotel said in a statement: “Receiving this award on our 60th anniversary is an immense honour and a tribute to all those who have been part of the history of Voramar: founders, workers, customers and collaborators.”
The hotel has received 1,420 reviews on the Tripadvisor platform and is rated as excellent by 1,221 people.
Maria Alegria P, who visited this month, wrote: “Excellent hotel in all aspects. Perfect location with easy access for people with difficulty.
“Also it is right next to the beach and is a very clean and modern hotel.”
Debbie T said: “We came here for a cheeky long weekend. As soon as you arrive into this stunning hotel, you feel happy. It’s friendly, modern and immaculately clean. Staff are all kind and helpful and smiley.
“The entertainment is so good. The acts are all amazing. Thank you Manu Leon. We danced the night away. The bar is great to leading to the dance floor.
“Breakfast is a very varied buffet and dinner is fantastic value for 15E another buffet with wine & water.
“Rooms are a good size and have everything you need. Again immaculate. The swimming pool is on the roof terrace. Again a lovely bar too. Where you can enjoy a cocktail. I can’t wait to return.”
