UK weather maps turn yellow as 22C ‘mini-heatwave’ sizzles Britain | UK | News

Things are looking up for the nation as according to new weather maps the UK is due a mini heatwave in a few weeks. The maps generated by WXCharts using metdesk data reveal that temperatures will reach as high as 22C on April 10 in the early evening. Whilst the warm weather will mostly hit southern England, the highest temperatures will actually be experienced in the north England specifically in Leeds where the temperature is due to hit a warm 22C.

London will also experience the higher end of the warm climate and whilst the Midlands remains between 17C and 19C. The warm weather comes as various WXCharts weather maps forecast snow for a number of regions across the whole country, but it seems as though things are looking much brighter for the country.

The Met Office has also forecast better weather for the month of April and specifically April 10. The weather agency’s long-range forecast for Thursday, April 10, to Thursday, April 24, predicts “dry weather” and temperatures “above average” to take over the nation.

The weather forecast states: “Weather patterns are most likely to remain slow-moving through the middle of April. High pressure located to the north of the UK will probably be dominant for much of the time, bringing a lot of fine and dry weather.

“If there are any interludes of rain or showers, particularly later in the month, these are more likely to affect the south of the UK. Temperatures are likely to be above average overall, and feeling warm inland with light winds, especially further north, although some cold nights are still possible under any clear skies.”

As the Met Office noted, the weather is set to drop in the late hours of April 10, into the next day. However Brits will still have plenty of time to make up for the lovely sunshine that will be paying a visit to regions across the country.

The Met Office’s UK 5-day weather forecast

This evening and tonight:

Windy in the northwest as rain slowly moves southeast across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Low cloud and a little drizzle also developing across western hills and coasts. Otherwise clear spells elsewhere, with mist and fog patches by dawn.

Thursday:

Cloud and rain continues to sink southeast, becoming heavy and persistent later. Ahead of this, mist and fog clearing to leave dry day with some sunny spells.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Rain eventually clears southeast through Friday, with cooler weather, sunny spells and scattered showers following. Further rain possible in the west on Saturday, but drier overall on Sunday.
