Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance in New York just hours ahead of the launch of her new Netflix show.
The Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram to upload a series of stories and revealed she attended a special screening of With Love, Meghan, which was held for a group of her long-time following since the days of her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig.
Meghan’s blog was similar in concept to her new Netflix show as she shared snippets of her everyday life along with her favourite food and travel.
The blog was shut down in 2017 after her engagement to Prince Harry.
In a video uploaded to her Instagram stories, Meghan said: “We have a big surprise in store for girls who have been following the Tig and everything else for so long.”
She added seconds before she entered the room: “They don’t know I’m coming.”
The girls looked surprised when they saw the duchess enter the room, saying: “What’d you guys think?”
In other story segments, the duchess shared clips of herself interacting with her fans and various pictures from the night, including a bottle of Tignanello wine – which was behind the Tig’s name – and two fans having her new brand’s name, As Ever, tattoed on their arms.
She also revealed an adorable gift to her made by her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet – a handwritten card and a flower bouquet.
The card read: “Congratulations mumma! We love your show, and we love you! Lili, Archie Papa.”
The Duchess of Sussex will flaunt her cooking, gardening and hosting tips in front of her Hollywood friends in a new eight-part show titled With Love, Meghan – out today.
The show will “celebrate the joys of cooking and friendship”.
Guests will include actress Mindy Kaling and former Suits star Abigail Spencer, as well as chefs Roy Choi and Alice Waters.
