Halifaxis closing 61 branches, citing a growing reliance on online and mobile banking services, but it will undoubtedly affect customers who rely on in-person services.
Halifax, part of Lloyds banking group, said the decision to close branches was made after it had asessed the likely impact on customers – including how they continue to access banking services.
The bank said it sometimes had a Community Banker visit the area after the branch closes. Or as part of an independent review, a Banking Hub or Deposit Service may be set up in a nearby location.
To help you plan, the Daily Express has compiled a complete list of the Halifax branches that will be closing in March, including their addresses and scheduled closure dates.
If your local branch is on the list, consider exploring alternatives like nearby Post Offices, banking hubs, or Halifax’s digital services to ensure continued access to your accounts.
