The UK is currently in the grip of a cold snap, with temperatures plummeting below zero in some areas.

As we all dream of escaping to warmer climes, one European destination could be just the ticket for a winter sun getaway.

Just three hours from the UK lies the Spanish city of Malaga, famed for its towering hotels and resorts, as well as the historic Alcazaba and Gibralfaro citadels – remnants of Moorish rule.

Beyond its 16 sun-soaked beaches, this Mediterranean gem offers a rich cultural experience. And if that’s not enough to tempt you, wait until you hear about the cost.

According to a TikTok post by @trip.tailors, an adventure travel company with 1,200 followers, you can enjoy food for just £15 a day, travel for £10 daily, and activities ranging from £20-£30.

Flights and hotel accommodation can also be snapped up for around £375 for five days, but only if you book through Trip Tailors.

These bargain prices are reportedly available for any time in January or February, with direct flights from multiple UK airports.

The post quickly went viral, racking up 8,800 likes and a flurry of comments. One user exclaimed: “Lovely on my bucket list.” Another praised: “Beautiful place.” A third shared: “We love budget friendly destinations.”

Meanwhile, a fourth remarked: “It’s absolutely amazing,” and a fifth TikTok enthusiast declared: “Goals, I’m manifesting this for myself in 2025!”

Fancy jetting off to Malaga soon?

Bargain flights from Manchester start at just £34 via Jet2 – and that’s roughly what you’ll pay on the return leg too. Meanwhile, other parts of the UK are also seeing slashed prices, particularly during January and February.

For instance, fares from London Stansted or Newcastle begin at a mere £32. From Bristol, you’re looking at £36, and Liverpudlians can escape for about £44.
