There are no gimmies in NFL football.
Case in point, Geno Smith’s New York Jets come into today’s Week 7 contest against Malik Willis’ winless Miami Dolphins as 4.5-point favorites at their home MetLife Stadium.
And, while all signs point to Gang Green notching their third victory, there’s a good chance Jeff Hafley’s rebuilding club — who are better than their dismal record suggests — can upset Aaron Glenn’s squad.

“This is a test for Glenn to make sure his team is sharp and does not stumble,” The Post noted. This should be a crisp performance and a ‘get-right game.’ The Jets are usually other teams’ ‘get-right’ games, but they have to fix their issues against a bad Dolphins team.”
Speaking of issues, New York come into today reeling after a tough 26-19 loss against the Patriots last weekend. They mounted a comeback in the third quarter, scoring ten unanswered points but ended up coming short.
“I don’t think anybody feels good about 2-4, but I do feel good about the effort we’re playing with,” Glenn said. “No doubt about it, being 2-4 does not feel good, but there’s some things I know we can build on.”
Hopefully, they build on those “things” because, as we all know…there are no gimmies in NFL football.
