The Warriors are already short-handed.

In the second game of the season, Golden State deployed two-way player Graham Ike as their starting center against the Grizzlies. Seth Curry, brother of Steph Curry, weighed in on the grim situation as the Warriors began the campaign with back-to-back losses.

“With all due respect to Ike. A 2-way starting for the dubs in game 2 is tough,” Seth wrote in a post on Threads.

Seth spent the 2025-26 season with the Warriors, but was limited to 10 games because of ongoing injuries. Golden State missed the playoffs last year and the current state of the roster doesn’t bode well for the team’s chances of making a deep postseason run this season.

The Warriors extended center Kristaps Porzingis this offseason to a two-year, $40 million deal, which seemingly secured the team’s primary big man. However, Porzingis is dealing with an undisclosed health issue and is out indefinitely.

Along with Porzingis, the Warriors have been without big man Charles Bassey and Al Horford, who is managing back issues. The fanbase was critical of the front office’s lack of moves this offseason, but the absence of so many key players has evidently affected the Warriors’ play to start the season.
