Troy Aikman might have just needed a fresh sea breeze in the wake of what has been an eventful week.

Earlier this week, news broke that Aikman and his ESPN “Monday Night Football” broadcast booth partner, Joe Buck, had a verbal argument before the Buffalo Bills faced the Los Angeles Rams.

The argument allegedly stemmed from the differences in their ESPN contract circumstances. Buck recently agreed to a six-year, approximately $108 million extension with ESPN, while Aikman is in the final year of a five-year, $90 million contract.

It appears that Aikman isn’t lingering on this dispute, as he posted a photo of several palm trees right next to the ocean to his Instagram story on Wednesday.

The post didn’t have a caption, but a song called, “Grateful for Today” was included over the photo.

Perhaps Aikman didn’t mean anything by the photo or the song, or perhaps he was trying to send a sublte message about his mindset in the wake of this news.

Aikman made an appearance on 96.7 The Ticket on Thursday and addressed the situation with Buck, saying, “There’s probably a time and a place for all that. I don’t know if now is the time. I don’t know if it’s hard to figure out kind of what happened. I’ll broadcast through this season and I’ll be a free agent at the end of the year and kind of see what happens.

“I’m looking forward to whatever the rest of this season does hold and the Super Bowl and all that and where my next landing spot may be.”

Aikman’s next landing spot is uncertain, but his current landing spot is the beach.
