Patrick Mahomes Sr.’s attendance at select Kansas City Chiefs games this season comes with a strange catch.

Patrick’s father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., has been granted access to attend Chiefs homes games this season, despite being on probation for his felony DWI arrest in Texas back in 2024, according to TMZ.

This came after Mahomes Sr. filed documents in court to attend Chiefs games in Kansas City, Cincinnati, and Las Vegas—on the condition that he submitted urine tests both before and after traveling to each location, TMZ reported.

Mahomes Sr.’s parole officer requested the urine test element of this, according to the outlet, and while the judge didn’t approve Mahomes Sr. traveling to Cincinnati or Las Vegas, he did approve the request to attend Chiefs home games.

The 56-year-old violated his probation earlier this year after allegedly drinking alcohol in breach of its terms.

In March, the state of Texas pulled back its motion to revoke Mahomes Sr.’s probation. The former MLB pitcher’s probation was extended from five years to seven, but the judge did allow him to be released from custody later that day.

Mahomes Sr. used to be a mainstay at Chiefs games before this 2024 arrest. And he’ll now get to attend the Chiefs games again, so long as those urine tests come back clean.
