At least two people were killed and dozens detained following a shooting at a strip mall near a Los Angeles college Friday night, according to reports.

The deadly shooting broke out just after 11 p.m. Friday at University Plaza, a popular strip mall a block away from the California State University Northridge campus, according to KABC.

Police had been called to the plaza following reports of a large party when they heard gunshots, according to the outlet.

One person was stabbed during the chaos, NBC4 reported.

Dozens of people were detained outside the plaza’s building where they had reportedly been inside a nearby lounge at the time of the incident.

Officers were seen talking to the handcuffed individuals inside the cordoned-off crime scene that spanned several businesses of the plaza, according to aerial video from KABC.

No arrests have been announced.

Officials have not revealed the condition of those injured or any additional details about the shooting.
