A Florida man is finally facing justice for allegedly gunning down a young mom in her car, stealing the vehicle and ditching it — leaving her 1-year-old daughter to die strapped inside, according to prosecutors.

Doujon Griffiths, 26, is on trial in Orlando after two years on the lam.

He is accused of executing 20-year-old Massania Malcolm, shooting and wounding her boyfriend, Jordane Reid, and abandoning the pair’s baby girl, Jordania Reid, to roast to death on Sept. 7, 2021, according to WESH 2.

Griffiths then fled and wasn’t tracked down by police until more than two years later during a traffic stop in New Jersey.

Reid survived several gunshot wounds to testify about the harrowing experience.

“I was in panic. I was getting shot at the same time. I was just trying to escape, that’s it,” Reid testified, according to a report by WFTV 9.

Massania Malcolm, 20, was allegedly fatally shot by Doujon Griffiths.

Griffiths, Reid’s childhood friend, had been crashing Malcolm and Reid’s apartment for about a month until the young couple decided he needed to move out because he wasn’t contributing to household expenses, WESH 2 reported.

The pair and their daughter got in the car to drive Griffiths to the bus when Griffiths started firing at Reid in the apartment complex parking lot, according to warrants.

Jordania Reid, 1, was in the car when her mother was shot and died of heat exposure not to be found until two days later.

“He literally put the firearm right here and squeezed it,” WFTV 9 reported, citing Reid’s testimony. “I turned around like this, and that’s when he stopped. I wasn’t trying to wrestle it, but I was trying to feel it and stop him.”

Reid fled the car as Griffiths followed and shot at him before the gunman got in and drove away with the mother and baby, according to Reid and investigators.

Griffiths then killed Malcolm and left her in the car with the baby and the pair weren’t discovered until two days later, documents alleged.

A neighbor found Reid laying behind a bush with multiple gunshot wounds and barely able to speak before the neighbor called 911 and Reid was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery.

An intubated Reid on Sept. 9, wrote his girlfriend’s name on a piece of paper, prompting the police to search her apartment who were eventually able to find her using the car’s GPS, the outlet reported.

Griffiths is charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
